Effective May 27, 2026
This policy covers redasthecolor.com ("we", "us", the site) and explains how we handle the small amount of personal information we collect when you visit, sign up for the newsletter, contact us, or buy apparel.
What we collect
The categories below are the only things we collect:
- Newsletter signups. When you subscribe, we store the email address you provide and a timestamp. We use a double-opt-in flow, so we also store whether you've confirmed.
- Contact form messages. When you send a message through the contact page, we store the email address and whatever you wrote in the message field.
- Apparel orders. When you buy apparel through the site, payment is processed by Stripe and fulfillment is handled by Printful. Stripe handles all payment-card data directly — we never see or store your card number. We do receive a record of the order (items, totals, shipping address) so we can support you and pass the address to Printful for shipping.
- Server logs. Like every web server, our host (Cloudflare) logs basic request metadata: IP address, user-agent string, the URL you requested, and the timestamp. This is used to detect abuse and keep the site fast. Cloudflare retains these logs per their own privacy policy.
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking on this site. We do not sell or rent your data.
How we use it
- Newsletter emails — to send you the newsletter you signed up for, and only that. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every email.
- Contact messages — so we can reply.
- Apparel orders — to ship the product to you, respond to support questions, and meet tax/record-keeping obligations.
- Server logs — for security, performance, and abuse prevention.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it (subject to legal record-keeping requirements — e.g., we have to keep apparel order records for tax reasons).
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA (right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do neither). EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection).
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address tied to the data you're asking about, or include enough information for us to verify you're the same person.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe we drop your address from the list within 30 days, except for a small suppression record so we don't accidentally re-add you later.
- Contact messages: kept for up to 24 months so we can refer to prior conversations, then deleted unless you've become a customer or are an active thread.
- Merch orders: kept for at least 7 years to satisfy U.S. tax record-keeping requirements.
- Server logs: Cloudflare retains per their policy (typically 7–30 days for most fields).
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.
International transfers
The site is hosted in the United States. If you're visiting from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the site, you consent to that transfer.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes (changing what we collect or who we share it with), we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, post a note on the homepage or email subscribers. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
